Bhagsu waterfall is located in Bhagsunaag village, 2 kms from McLeod Ganj, behind the Bhagsu temple, in the district of Dharmashala, Himachal Pradesh. The drop of the waterfall is about 20-25 FT during the monsoon season. The sight of the waterfall with the backdrop of the mountains is truly breathtaking.
Equipped with a Fuji XT-2, a Fuji XC 50-230mm F4.5-6.7 OIS lens and a SIRUI Tripod, almost all of the photographs posted here were taken along the stream originating from the Bhagsu fall. Unfortunately it was very sunny and I did not have any ND filters for the 50-230 zoom and could not take any decent picture of the 20 FT waterfall. I am positive that I will back there with more time sometimes in the near future.
The Bhagsu Waterfall is very near the Bhagsunath Temple and is considered as one of the most beautiful streams of this region. The best time to visit this area is early morning or late afternoon if you are interested to take beautiful photographs unlike me who was there at noon with a high overhead Sun. I was with a team of tourists and had to follow their schedule.
