I love to walk about and shoot photographs in Chandni Chowk, New Delhi. Everywhere you point the camera here, it is a photo opportunity. And with the ever dependable Ricoh GR, you can be inconspicuous and ready to shoot at each and every moment.
I did an earlier post of Street photographs with the Ricoh GR here and it is small wonder of a camera fully customizable to your style and needs. I have this camera now for over 3 years and except for one issue this camera is one of the best I have handled in my limited experience. The issue is … dust in Sensor. I will try to contact Ricoh office in New Delhi India( from where I had purchased my camera) to see if they could clean it. I am sure they will. I have used the small Mirrorless interchangeable lens camera Nikon 1 v2 for a similar period now but never had this issue even after changing lenses now and then and exposing the sensor.
As usual all these photographs are shot in Jpegs and in High Contrast Black & White mode but I have reduced the Contrast slightly in the camera custom menu. All are processed in Photoshop CC where I have tweaked the contrast again and adjusted the white and black intensity in Selective Color function. Please click on an image to view a larger size.
Chandni Chowk is one of the oldest and busiest markets in Old Delhi located close to the Old Delhi Railway Station and the Red Fort. There is a camera market in Chandni Chowk close to the Red Fort where you can get the latest and also used camera gears in reasonable prices. The merchants are very knowledgable and you can get some good deals here.
I hope you like some of my attempts. I will leave with this final photograph today taken at a NO PARKING ZONE. So long.
